Introduction

I am Gold Medalist in Masters of Microbial & Food Technology. With over 20 years’ experience in Teaching, leadership and pastoral care of students, I managed the transition for pupils to the various stages in their careers. I started my teaching career in 2000 at a private school in Chandigarh, India. In 2005 I Joined MCM DAV College, as a Lecturer in Food Science & Microbiology Department. It was new stream in the college, which was a challenge. I took the challenge of establishing the department and in 2008, I was appointed as Head of Department. During this period, I delivered lectures to under graduate students and also represented department as Head in various inspections. I have taught Microbiology, Food Science in the department until 2014. My stint included writing books, technical papers and also set question papers for university examinations. As a mentor for many of the teaching staff, I was responsible for supporting the development of teaching skills, subject knowledge, and for establishing a culture of mutual observation and sharing of best practice. In 2016, I started my school teaching carrier in Abu Dhabi. I taught science in various curriculum from grade 5 to 10. Throughout my professional journey, I had refined my focus, patience, listening and collaborative skills.
